Vietnamese Rice Paper Rolls: Easier Than You Think

Vietnamese Spring Rolls don't need to be a delicacy only available from your local restaurant. Here we show you how to make them easily at home. It is important to not that the contents of your Spring Rolls are entirely up to you. We are demonstrating with one of our favorite ingredient combos, but don't be afraid to get creative! Vegan and gluten free, this dish is perfect for a hot summer day.

 

Ingredients:

Rice paper (available at most major supermarkets)

Rice noodles (also available at most major supermarkets)

Spinach

Red Peppers

Tofu (cooked to your liking)

Chinese Cabbage

Carrots

Mint Leaves

Basil Leaves

 

 

Instructions:

 

Step 1: Fill 2 bowls with warm water. Add your rice noodles to 1 bowl and let them soak for a few minutes.

 

Step 2: Cut your desired vegetables into thin strips

 

Step 3: Dip 1 sheet of rice paper in the bowl of plain warm water and lay on a flat, smooth surface.

 

Step 4: Lay a few rice noodles and your various fillings in a long pile across the rice paper and roll it all up, much like you would a burrito!
